Men of the Wedding – The Final Week
Last minute checklists, preparations, duties, etiquette, toasts and speeches for the groom, the best man and father of the bride

Let’s face it. Weddings and women are made for each other. Men, on the other hand, like to be lazy backbenchers wearing the self satisfied smirk that comes from downing a few drinks and being around beautiful women. But when they are forced to play a bigger part, men lose all their cocky self assurance. Uncertainty and fear often start to take over.

Unfortunately, there is a painful scarcity of wedding resources or guides for men. Even the few that have been penned are written by women.

Ken York’s “Men of the Wedding – The Final Week” is a practical, step-by-step handbook and guide explaining last minute planning and arrangements for the men who play significant roles in the event - the groom, the best man and the father of the bride.

From last minute wedding preparations and wedding etiquette to bachelor parties and wedding receptions, this book has it all covered. Each section has a checklist of wedding duties that can be photocopied (or printed out, for the electronic version) and followed during the crowded, busy days before the wedding. For men who shudder at the thought of standing up and facing the crowd with something meaningful to say, there is a special section that covers wedding speeches in great detail. Sample speeches given in the book will help you craft a speech that won’t be forgotten for a long time. Men, take the wedding by the horns with Men of The Wedding – The Final Week!

Ken York's personal business success with books

Ken York has written numerous magazine articles, commercial newsletters and books for over 30 years. So, at the time of his daughter’s wedding, when Blogging had just started attracting attention, Ken started his wedding blog, Wedding Guidance. What started off as an effort to track his progress as the Father of the Bride soon became a happening hub for people who dropped in to give and receive wedding tips and guidance.

In the middle of all the activity, Ken noticed that the fathers who visited his Blog could be divided into two distinct categories.

The first category consisted of fathers who wanted to be involved with their daughter's wedding from the word go.

The second category consisted of fathers who woke up to the wedding just a week away and wanted to avoid embarrassing themselves and their daughters at the wedding.

Ken went ahead and wrote two different books for these categories. The first book, helping fully engaged fathers, is "The Father of the Bride Wedding Guide - Achieving your daughter's dream wedding without a second mortgage." The second book was for the procrastinating men-of-the-wedding readers:"Men of the Wedding- The Final Week," explaining how to give the perfect toast and not embarrass yourself on the wedding day.

Since each book was for different audiences, they are promoted differently. The early success each book enjoyed was beyond Ken’s wildest expectations.

By replicating the procedure followed by Ken York as laid down by Rum Runner Publishing, nonfiction book authors can enjoy the same kind of massive readership.
